신앙생활은 리듬을 잃지 않는 것입니다.

요즘 저는 *‘슬로우 영성’*이라는 책을 읽고 있습니다. 이 책은 조급함을 내려놓고 천천히,

그러나 더 깊이 있는 삶에 대해 이야기합니다. 많은 일을 하려고 애쓰기보다, 중요한 일에

더욱 집중하라는 메시지를 담고 있죠. 우리의 인생에서 가장 중요한 시간은 바로

하나님과의 만남입니다. 그 만남은 곧 기도와 말씀 묵상입니다. 한 해를 허둥지둥 보내지

않고 분명한 방향과 안정된 틀 속에서 살아가는 방법은 주님과의 교제를 깊고 오래

지속하는 것입니다.

지난 1월, 저희는 다니엘 특별새벽기도회와 신년성회를 통해 이러한 신앙의 틀을 세우는

시간을 가졌습니다. 이 귀한 습관이 1월로 끝나지 않기를 간절히 바랍니다. 또한 기도와

말씀 묵상이 단지 일정에 따라 실행되는 프로그램으로 끝나지 않기를 소망합니다. 모든

것은 단순하게, 지속적으로, 반복적으로 이루어질 때 비로소 우리의 삶에 내면화될 수

있습니다. 1월에 형성된 이 흐름을 놓치지 말고 꾸준히 지속하고 반복하시기를

부탁드립니다.

생명의 습관이 우리의 삶에서 최우선순위가 되고, 결국 우리 몸에 배어 자연스러운 습관이

될 때, 우리는 어떤 상황에도 흔들리지 않는 뿌리 깊은 나무와 같은 사람이 될 것입니다.

하나님 앞에 앉아 있는 시간은 가장 느리게 느껴질 수 있지만, 사실은 가장 빠르고 안전한

길입니다.

맥체인 성경 읽기가 우리의 삶에서 가장 중요한 우선순위가 되고, 새벽을 깨우는 하루의

일상이 내 삶에서 가장 소중한 시간이 되기를 기도합니다.

“너희는 피곤하고 지쳤느냐? 종교생활에 탈진했느냐? 나에게 오너라. 나와 함께 길을

나서면 너희 삶은 회복될 것이다. 내가 너희에게 제대로 쉬는 법을 가르쳐 주겠다. 나와

함께 걷고 나와 함께 일하여라. 내가 어떻게 하는지 잘 보아라. 자연스러운 은혜의 리듬을

배워라. 나는 너희에게 무겁거나 맞지 않는 짐을 지우지 않는다. 나와 함께 있으면

자유롭고 가볍게 사는 법을 배울 것이다.” (마태복음 11:28-30, 메시지 성경)

Faith Is About Keeping the Rhythm.

Last Sunday, we had a blessed and grace-filled vision meeting. Although the meeting ran a little longer due to the process of selecting deacons, I sincerely thank everyone who stayed until the end. Today, I would like to share one more thing regarding the Dream Center.

The Dream Center has been a vision that God placed in my heart since the very beginning of this ministry. He impressed upon me that for our children to overcome the world, family alone is not enough—they need to be trained within a strong spiritual community. To resist the many addictions and worldly influences, we need a training center where young believers, like Daniel and his three friends, can live, eat, and grow together in faith. Although we do not have many children in our church at the moment, the Lord has given us a burden to prepare for a revival among the next generation. To accomplish this, several commitments are needed.

First is a commitment of faith. Whenever God begins His work, He first calls us to have faith. The kingdom of God is built through faith. Even our current church building was given to us through faith. Looking at our current church’s financial and human resources, the Dream Center seems impossible to build. However, before anything else, God asks us, “Do you believe that I can do this?”

Second is a commitment to prayer. Faith grows through prayer. When Nehemiah rebuilt the walls of Jerusalem in just 52 days, he did so by relying on prayer from beginning to end. The house of God is built through prayer. This year is a time to sow more faith and prayer than ever before.

Third is a commitment of talents and financial support. For this Dream Center, we hope to see not only financial giving but also the offering of talents. Some of our members have expertise in construction and related fields. We will welcome and greatly value their advice and contributions. Additionally, financial support is crucial. We ask that you first commit to a regular offering for the Dream Center, with plans for special offerings in the future. In return, I will continue to bless and pray for your workplaces and businesses.

Finally, the Dream Center is to be built by the entire church, united as one. Just as in Nehemiah’s time, when people of all ages worked together to rebuild the walls, we pray that children, youth, and elders alike will join in faith, prayer, and giving to see God’s work fulfilled.
