하나님의 관심

다가오는 K-Festival과 아가페를 앞두고, 지난 금요일 정모세 목사님을 통해 이웃 사랑에 관한 귀한 세미나와 말씀을 들을 수 있었습니다. 많은 은혜와 도전을 받았지만, 오늘은 그 가운데 주님께서 제게 주신 몇 가지 깨달음을 함께 나누고자 합니다.

첫째, 세상은 이웃에 대한 관심이 너무 부족하다는 것입니다.

내 옆집에 무슨 일이 일어나고 있는지조차 알지 못하고, 같은 동네에 살면서도 이웃의 이름조차 모르는 경우가 많습니다. 우리가 먼 해외에 나아가 복음을 전하는 것도 중요하지만, 예루살렘 성안에 있던 잃어버린 백성이 중요한 것처럼, 바로 내 옆집에 사는 이웃 역시 복음을 단 한 번도 들어보지 못한 미전도 종족일 수 있다는 사실을 잊지 말아야 합니다.

둘째, ‘미셔널 교회’도 중요하지만, 더 중요한 것은 ‘미셔널 라이프’입니다.

교회를 중심으로 하는 전도도 필요하지만, 우리의 삶 속에서 선교적으로 살아가는 것이 더욱 본질적입니다. 예수님께서는 회당보다 길거리와 삶의 현장에서 더 많은 이들을 만나 복음을 나누셨습니다. 나의 삶의 자리, 회사, 가정, 그리고 정기적으로 마주하는 이웃 공동체가 곧 선교의 현장입니다.

셋째, 복음의 선포는 자연스러워야 합니다.

예수님은 의도적으로 복음을 전하는 시간도 가지셨지만, 대부분은 일상 속에서 자연스럽게 이루어졌습니다. 수가성에서 여인을 만나셨고, 장터에서 레위를 부르셨듯이, 그분의 삶 자체가 복음 증거의 연장이었습니다. 우리의 삶 또한 그러해야 합니다.

넷째, 우리의 정체성이 곧 우리의 행동을 결정합니다.

우리는 구원받는 순간 동시에 세상에 파송된 선교사가 됩니다. 해외로 나가는 사람만이 선교사가 아니라, 구원받은 모든 자가 선교사입니다.

다가오는 K-Festival과 아가페를 준비하며, 우리의 삶 속에서 혹시 강도 만난 이웃은 없는지 돌아보고, 그들을 치유하고 회복시킬 수 있는 도구로 쓰임 받는 우리가 되기를 기도합니다.

God’s Concern

As we prepare for the upcoming K fall-Festival and Agape, last Friday we had

the privilege of receiving a precious message and seminar on loving our

neighbors from Pastor Moses Jung. It was a time filled with grace and

challenge, and today I would like to share a few insights the Lord impressed

upon my heart.

First, this world has far too little concern for our neighbors.

Many people do not know what is happening in the house next door, nor do they even know the names of the people in their own neighborhood. While it is important to take the gospel to distant nations, we must also remember the lost within our own “Jerusalem.” The neighbor living right next to us may very well be part of an unreached people group who has never heard the gospel even once.

Second, a “missional church” is important, but what is even more vital is a “missional life.”

Yes, evangelism centered in the church is valuable, but it is even more essen- tial that we live missionally in our daily lives. Jesus often ministered not in the synagogue, but in the streets, meeting people where they were. Our workplace, our homes, and the communities we encounter regularly—these are the very fields of mission God has entrusted to us.

Third, the proclamation of the gospel should flow naturally.

Jesus did at times set aside moments to intentionally preach, but much of His ministry unfolded naturally in the midst of life. He met the woman at the well in Samaria, He called Levi in the marketplace—His life itself was an extension of the gospel. Our lives too must reflect this natural witness of Christ.

Fourth, our identity shapes our actions.

The moment we are saved, we are also sent as missionaries into the world. Missionaries are not only those who cross seas to distant lands; every believer who has been redeemed is a missionary.

As we prepare for K-Festival and Agape, let us examine our lives and ask: Are there wounded neighbors—like the man who fell among robbers—right around us? May we be vessels of healing and restoration for them.
