12월을 맞이하는 자세

어느덧 한 해를 마무리하는 12월이 되었습니다. 12월은 빛의 달이기도 합니다.

예수님께서 생명의 빛으로 오신 달이며, 성탄의 조명들이 우리의 마음을 밝히기 때문입니다. 그러나 화려한 조명과 달리, 12월은 우리에게 깊은 생각을 하게 하는 달입니다. 지나온 한 해를 정리하고 새해를 준비하는 시기이기 때문입니다. 그래서 저는 우리가 12월을 이렇게 보냈으면 합니다.

첫째, 분주함에 휘말리지 말고 자신을 돌아보는 시간을 가지시기 바랍니다.

내면이 준비되어야 새해를 향한 새로운 채움이 있습니다. 자기를 돌아본다는 것은 말씀 앞에 서는 것입니다. 말씀이 나를 비춰 주는 시간을 허락하시기 바랍니다.

둘째, 연합의 시간입니다.

12월에는 우리가 ‘패션 포 크라이스트’를 진행합니다. 이는 목장별로 연합하여 하나됨을 이루는 시간입니다. 하나됨은 힘쓰고 노력해야 이루어지는 은혜입니다. 여러분의 소중한 참여가 교회를 더욱 빛나게 합니다.

셋째, 감사와 회개의 시간입니다.

한 해를 마무리하며 끊어내야 할 것은 끊어내고, 감사함으로 하나님을 영화롭게 하는 한 달이 되기를 바랍니다.

마지막으로, 담임목사를 위해 기도해 주시기 바랍니다.

12월은 새로운 목회계획을 세우고 한 해를 정리하는 시기입니다. 이때에는 분별력과 지혜가 특별히 필요합니다. 여러분의 기도가 저를 통해 여러분의 미래가 될 수도 있습니다. 여러분의 충만한 기도를 부탁드립니다.

Attitude for Welcoming the Month of December

We have now entered December, the month that brings the year to a close. December is also known as the month of light—because Jesus came as the Light of Life, and because the beauty of Christmas lights brightens our hearts. Yet, despite all the brightness, December is also a month that leads us into deep reflection. It is the season when we look back on the year and prepare for the new one. In this spirit, I hope we can spend this month in the following ways.

First, do not be swept away by busyness, but take time to look within yourself.

Our inner being must be prepared before we can be filled for the coming year. To look within is to stand before the Word. I encourage you to make room for the Word of God to shine upon your heart.

Second, this is a month of unity.

In December we participate in “Passion for Christ,” a time when our cell groups come together in fellowship. Unity does not happen automatically; it requires effort and intentionality. Your meaningful participation will help our church shine even brighter.

Third, this is a time for thankfulness and repentance.

As we finish the year, may we cut off what needs to be let go, and may our gratitude bring glory to God throughout this month.

Lastly, I humbly ask you to pray for your senior pastor.

December is a month of planning and finalizing the ministry direction for the coming year, and I need God’s wisdom and discernment. Your prayers for me can become a blessing for your own future as well. I earnestly ask for your full prayers.
