신앙생활에도 첩경(捷徑, 빠른 길)이 있을까요?

저는 있다고 생각합니다. 그것은 바른 방향을 잘 설정하는 것입니다. 신앙생활은 열심보다 방향이 더 중요합니다. 열심은 시간이 지나면 쉽게 지치고 식어버립니다. 그러나 바른 방향을 잡으면, 그 마음속에 하나님의 열정이 부어집니다.

그렇다면 바른 방향이란 무엇일까요?

그것은 하나님 아버지의 마음을 아는 것입니다. 지금 하나님의 마음이 어디에 있는지, 하나님의 시선이 어디를 향하고 있는지를 아는 것이 바로 바른 신앙의 시작입니다. 주님의 마음을 알게 되면, 우리의 신앙은 공허하지 않습니다. 왜냐하면 하나님의 열심이 우리를 붙잡기 때문입니다.

그렇다면 하나님의 최고의 관심은 무엇일까요?

그것은 바로 잃어버린 영혼을 향한 아버지의 마음입니다. 하나님은 자신을 알지 못하고 복음을 듣지 못한 이들을 향해 가장 깊은 관심을 가지고 계십니다. 예수께서 대답하여 이르시되, “나는 이스라엘 집의 잃어버린 양 외에는 다른 데로 보내심을 받지 아니하였노라” 하시니 [마태복음 15:24]

예수님은 아무나 만나지 않으셨습니다. 그분은 시간과 힘, 그리고 모든 열정을 잃어버린

영혼을 찾는 일에 쏟으셨습니다. 누가복음 15장의 세 가지 비유(잃은 양, 잃은 드라크마, 잃은 아들)를 보면, 주님의 그 열정이 얼마나 놀라운지 알 수 있습니다. 우리 교회는 개척 이래 줄곧 이 부분에 집중해 왔습니다. 국내외에서 복음을 듣지 못한 자들에게 복음잔치를 열어왔고, 지난주 금요일에도 UUPG(미전도 비접촉 그룹)에 대해 나누며 말씀을 전할 때, 하나님이 얼마나 기뻐하시는지를 깊이 느낄 수 있었습니다.

그러나 안타깝게도, 우리 주변에도 여전히 복음을 듣지 못했거나, 들어도 제대로 이해하지 못하는 이들이 많습니다. 이번 10월 19일 주일은 이러한 분들에게 초점을 맞추어 예배드리고자 합니다.

각 목장은 ‘아가페’를 열어, 이들을 초청해 주시기 바랍니다. 그럴 때 우리는 하나님의 열정이 우리 안에서 역사하는 것을 경험하게 될 것입니다. 지난 K Fall Festival을 위해 수고하신 모든 성도님들께 진심으로 감사드립니다. 영혼 구원은 땀과 사랑으로 이루어지는 일입니다.

The Priority of Faith

Is there a shortcut in the life of faith?

I believe there is — it is setting the right direction. In our walk of faith, direction is more important than zeal. Zeal alone can fade over time, but when we set our direction rightly, God pours His passion into our hearts.

What, then, is the right direction?

It is knowing the heart of our Heavenly Father — understanding where His heart and His gaze are focused right now. When we know the Lord’s heart, our faith does not feel empty, because God’s own passion grips us and sustains us.

So, what is God’s greatest concern?

It is the Father’s heart for the lost. God’s deepest desire is for those who do not yet know Him and have never heard the gospel. Jesus answered, “I was sent only to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.” [Matthew 15:24]

Jesus did not meet just anyone at random. He poured His time, strength, and energy into seeking and saving the lost. In Luke 15, through the three parables of the lost sheep, the lost coin, and the lost son, we can see how deep and passionate His heart truly is. Since our church was founded, we have remained focused on this mission — to share the gospel both at home and abroad, especially with those who have never heard it.

Just last Friday, as we shared about the UUPG (Unreached, Unengaged People Groups), I could deeply sense how pleased God was. Yet sadly, even around us, there are still many who have not heard the gospel, or who misun-derstand it. On Sunday, October 19, we will dedicate our worship to reaching these precious people.

I encourage every house church to open its doors in Agape love, and invite them in. When you do, you will experience God’s own passion stirring within you.
