추수의 결실을 바라보며

사랑하는 성도 여러분,

오늘은 9월의 첫 주일입니다. 뜨거운 여름 동안에도 하나님을 사랑하는 마음으로 예배와 사역에 최선을 다해 주신 모든 분들께 진심으로 감사드립니다. 여러분의헌신과 수고가 하나님께 기쁨이 되었음을 믿습니다.

이제 우리는 새로운 계절, 가을을 맞이하며 앞으로의 사역 방향을 함께 나누고자 합니다. 여름이 아웃리치와 수련회를 중심으로 외부로 향한 사역의 시간이었더라면, 이제 9월부터는 우리의 일상 자리에서 복음의 증인으로 서고, 목회적으로 내실을 다지는 시기가 되기를 소망합니다.

1. 새벽제단의 회복

무엇보다도 내일부터 다시 새벽제단이 말씀과 기도로 세워집니다. 지난 8월은 개인적으로 기도하며 하나님과 깊은 교제를 나누는 시간이 되었다면, 9월부터는 온 공동체가 함께 모여 한 마음, 한 뜻으로 기도하는 은혜를 누리기를 원합니다. 새벽마다 흘리는 눈물이 우리 교회의 기초를 더욱 견고히 할 것입니다.

2. Here and Now 선교와 지역 전도

가을은 특별히 이웃과 열방을 향한 사랑을 실천하는 계절입니다. 10월에는 Fall Festival과 아가페 사역을 중심으로 지역 전도에 힘쓰고자 합니다. 각 목장마다 마음을 모아 기도해 주시고, 특별히 2시 예배가 더욱 활성화되고 있으니, 외국인 이웃들을 기쁨으로 초청해 주시기를 부탁드립니다. 우리의 작은 초대가 누군가에게는 영원한 생명의 시작이 될 줄 믿습니다.

3. 말씀 훈련과 생명의 삶

또한 이번 가을에는 생명의 삶 과정과 말씀 훈련이 본격적으로 시작됩니다. 배움의 자리든, 가르침의 자리든, 우리가 소그룹 안에서 말씀을 함께 나눌 때, 우리 신앙은 더욱 깊어지고 삶은 더욱 풍성해질 것입니다. 말씀으로 우리의 중심을 모으고, 그 말씀이 삶의 능력이 되기를 간절히 기도합니다.

사랑하는 성도 여러분,

2025년 한 해 동안 하나님께서는 여러 모양으로 우리에게 큰 은혜를 베풀어 주셨습니다. 이제 그 은혜가 단순한 체험에 머무르지 않고 풍성한 열매로 맺히는 남은 시간이 되기를 소망합니다. 주님께서 우리 각 가정과 교회 위에 더욱 큰 은혜와 평강을 부어 주실 줄 믿습니다.

Looking Toward the Harvest

Today is the first Sunday of September. I want to sincerely thank every one of you for your faithful devotion throughout the long summer. Your dedication in worship and ministry has surely brought joy to the Lord.

Now as we enter a new season, we look ahead to how we will carry out the work of the gospel this fall. While the summer focused on outreaches and retreats, beginning in September we want to place our emphasis on living as witnesses of the gospel in our daily lives and strengthening the inner life of our church.

1. Restoration of the Early Morning Altar

Starting tomorrow, we will once again gather for the early morning altar of prayer and the Word. In August, many of us prayed and sought God personally; but from September on, I hope we will experience the blessing of communal prayer with one heart and one spirit. The tears we sow in the mornings will surely strengthen the foundation of our church.

2. Here and Now Mission and Community Outreach

This fall will also be a time to practice God’s love toward our neighbors and the nations. In October, we will focus on the Fall Festival and the Agape ministry as opportunities for outreach. I ask each house church to join in prayer and prepare their hearts for this mission. Especially as our 2 p.m. service continues to grow, please feel free to invite international friends and neighbors. Your simple invitation may become the beginning of eternal life for someone.

3. Life of the Word and Discipleship Training

This season also marks the start of Life Bible Study and discipleship training. Whether learning or teaching, when we share God’s Word together in small groups, our faith will be deepened, and our lives enriched. My prayer is that we would center our hearts on God’s Word and experience its power in our daily walk.

Throughout this year, 2025, the Lord has poured out abundant grace upon us in many ways. May the remainder of this year not only carry the memory of that grace, but also bring forth a bountiful harvest of fruit in our lives and in our church. I sincerely pray for God’s continued grace and peace to overflow in every family and upon our entire congregation.
