혼자서 기도할 때

종종 집이나 교회에서 혼자 기도할 때가 있습니다. 마음을 다잡고 기도의 자리에 앉지만 생각만큼 기도가 열리지 않을 때가 있습니다. 특별히 어려운 일이 있거나 마음이 힘들 때는 기도보다 오히려 그 문제에 사로잡히기도 합니다. 그럴 때 영적 돌파를 위해 몇 가지 방법을 권하고 싶습니다.

첫째, 시편 23편을 읽거나 암송하십시오.

주님이 나의 신실한 목자이심을 고백하십시오. 지금 길이 보이지 않아도 목자는 길을 알고 계십니다. 나의 기도를 푸른 풀밭과 쉴 만한 물가로 인도하고 계심을 믿으십시오.

둘째, 시편 51편을 읽거나 암송하십시오.

때로는 죄책감과 마음의 무거움이 기도를 막습니다. 다윗의 회개를 나의 고백으로 삼고 죄를 하나님 앞에 내려놓으십시오. 우리의 죄보다 크신 하나님의 인자하심과 용서를 바라보십시오.

셋째, 로마서 8장을 읽으십시오.

로마서 8장은 복음의 승리를 선포합니다. 그리스도 안에는 정죄함이 없으며, 성령께서 우리의 연약함을 도우시고, 그 어떤 것도 우리를 하나님의 사랑에서 끊을 수 없습니다.

말씀을 붙들고 기도하다 보면 어느 순간 막혀 있던 마음이 열릴 때가 있습니다. 그때 마음을 다해 예수님의 이름을 부르며 십자가와 보혈의 은혜를 의지하여 기도하십시오. 막혔던 물길이 열리듯 생수의 강이 우리 안에 흐르기 시작할 것입니다. 예수님 안에 생명이 있기 때문입니다.

이번 한 주간 더 깊은 회개와 기도의 자리로 나아가기를 원합니다. 막힌 기도가 열리고 우리 안에 새로운 영적 돌파가 일어나기를 간절히 기도합니다.

When You Pray Alone

There are times when we pray alone at home or at church. We sit down with a sincere desire to pray, but sometimes prayer does not flow as we hoped. Especially when we are going through difficulties, our minds can become overwhelmed by our problems. At such times, I would like to suggest three simple steps toward spiritual breakthrough.

First, read or recite Psalm 23.

Confess that the Lord is your faithful Shepherd. Even when you cannot see the way ahead, your Shepherd knows the way. Trust that He is leading you to green pastures and beside still waters.

Second, read or recite Psalm 51.

Sometimes guilt and the heaviness of sin can hinder our prayers. Make David's prayer of repentance your own. Bring your sins honestly before God and trust in His mercy and forgiveness, which are greater than your sins.

Third, read Romans 8.

Romans 8 declares the victory of the gospel. There is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. The Holy Spirit helps us in our weakness, and nothing can separate us from the love of God.

As you hold on to God's Word and pray, you may begin to feel your heart opening again. Then pray with all your heart. Call upon the name of Jesus and depend on the grace of His cross and His blood. Like a blocked stream beginning to flow again, rivers of living water can begin to flow within us. This is because there is life in Jesus.

This week, may we go deeper in repentance and prayer. May our blocked prayers begin to flow again, and may we experience a fresh spiritual breakthrough in our lives.
