부활의 능력으로 다시 일어납시다.

오늘 칼럼은 고난 주간 목요일 아침 기도 가운데 받은 은혜를 나누고자 합니다.

부활은 기독교 신앙의 핵심이며 결정체입니다. 사도 바울의 고백처럼 부활이 없다면 우리의 믿음은 헛된 것입니다. 부활만이 우리의 유일한 소망입니다. 수많은 전쟁의 소문과 재난의 소문 속에서, 우리가 붙들어야 할 부활 신앙의 몇 가지 모습을 함께 나누고자 합니다.

첫째, 부활은 새로운 의욕을 회복시켜 줍니다.

사단은 끊임없이 우리 마음에 패배의식을 심어 줍니다. “이걸 해서 무엇하나”, “해도 열매가 없지 않나”, “시간 낭비다”와 같은 생각들이 사역과 미래를 향한 열망을 무너뜨립니다. 그러나 부활은 우리를 그 패배주의에서 일으켜 세웁니다. 다시 시작할 수 있는 의지와 힘을 우리에게 부어 주십니다.

둘째, 부활은 미래의 언어를 회복시켜 줍니다.

우리가 사용하는 언어가 곧 우리의 내일을 만들어 갑니다. 부활을 경험한 사람은 언어가 달라집니다. 의심과 부정의 언어에서 벗어나, 믿음과 소망의 언어, 아멘의 언어로 변화됩니다. 초대교회에 능력의 역사가 나타난 것은 사도들이 복음에 대한 확신과 담대함을 가지고 있었기 때문입니다. 부활의 능력은 우리의 언어에 힘을 주며, 우리의 말이 영적 생명력을 갖게 합니다.

셋째, 부활은 하나님이 함께하신다는 확신을 줍니다.

부활 신앙은 단순한 신념이 아닙니다. 부활하신 주님이 지금도 내 안에, 내 삶 속에 함께하신다는 살아 있는 확신입니다. 사도 베드로는 보지 못하지만 보는 것 같이 믿는다고 고백합니다. 구약과 신약을 통틀어 가장 큰 축복은 하나님이 우리와 함께하시는 것입니다. 이것은 지식이 아니라, 삶 속에서 분명히 경험되는 확신입니다.

마지막으로, 부활은 우리의 미래와 사역을 보게 합니다.

믿음은 보이지 않는 미래를 바라보는 것입니다. 부활 신앙은 과거의 아픔이나 현재의 난관에 머물지 않습니다. 그럼에도 불구하고 모든 것을 합력하여 선을 이루시는 하나님의 능력이 우리의 삶 속에 분명한 그림으로 그려지게 합니다. 하나님께서 이루실 미래가 보이기 시작합니다.

이 부활의 능력이 긴 겨울을 지나 봄으로 나아가는 이 계절에, 우리 모두의 삶 가운데 충만히 임하기를 간절히 기도합니다.

Let Us Rise Again by the Power of the Resurrection

Today’s column is a reflection on the grace I received during my early morning prayer on Thursday of Passion Week.

The resurrection is the very core and culmination of the Christian faith. As the Apostle Paul confessed, if there is no resurrection, our faith is in vain. The resurrection is our only true hope. In the midst of countless rumors of wars and disasters, I would like to share a few aspects of resurrection faith that we must hold on to.

First, the resurrection restores a renewed passion within us.

Satan continually plants a spirit of defeat in our hearts: “What’s the point of doing this?” “There will be no fruit anyway.” “It’s a waste of time.” These thoughts drain our inner desire and strength for ministry and for the future. However, the resurrection lifts us out of this defeatism. It gives us the will and strength to begin again.

Second, the resurrection transforms our language into the language of the future.

The words we speak shape who we become tomorrow. Those who have experienced the resurrection speak differently. Their language changes from doubt and negativity to faith and affirmation—to the language of “Amen.” The early church experienced powerful works of God because the apostles had boldness and conviction in the gospel. The power of the resurrection gives strength to our words, making them spiritually alive and effective.

Third, the resurrection gives us the assurance that God is with us.

Resurrection faith is not merely a belief; it is a living conviction that the risen Lord is with us—in us and in every aspect of our lives. The apostle Peter confessed that though he had not seen Him, he believed as though he had seen Him. Throughout both the Old and New Testaments, the greatest blessing is that God is with His people. This is not just knowledge in the mind, but a deep and living assurance in the heart.

Finally, the resurrection enables us to see the future of our lives and ministry.

Faith is the ability to see what is yet to come. Resurrection faith does not dwell on past pain or present difficulties. Instead, it allows us to see a clear picture of God’s power at work—bringing all things together for good. We begin to envision the future that God is preparing.

I earnestly pray that this resurrection power will come upon all of us as we move from the long winter into the new season of spring.
