신앙의 승패는 BASIC 입니다

세상은 갈수록 화려해 집니다. 치장과 포장 그러나 알맹이가 없는 세상이 되어갑니다.

교회도 마찬가지입니다. 좋은 성전, 화려한 프로그램, 수많은 성도가 있지만 가장 중요한 기본을 잃어버린 시대가 이 시대가 아닌가 생각해 봅니다.

성도에게 있어서 기본은 무엇일까요?

첫째, 하나님의 과의 관계입니다.

신앙은 관계가 결정합니다. 하나님과의 관계의 기본은 무엇일까요? 그것은 말씀과 기도입니다. 정보가 많은 세상에 필요한 지식은 말씀으로부터 옵니다.

그러나 하나님의 말씀은 우리에게 지혜를 줍니다. 세상은 분주함으로 우리를 몰고 갑니다. 그러나 우리에게는 고요함이 필요합니다. 고요함 속에 창조와 회복이 있습니다. 기도는 하나님과의 관계 속에서 고요함을 알려 줍니다.

둘째, 영혼구령입니다.

초대교회는 전도하기를 멈추지 않았습니다. 구원받은 영혼의 가장 자연스럽 증상은 내 구주를 자랑하는 것입니다. 전도는 프로그램도 강요되는 것도 아닙니다.

생명의 자연스런 결과입니다. 이번 한 해는 전도에 힘쓰는 한 해가 되기를 기도하고 순종하는 한 해가 되기를 바랍니다.

기본에는 틀이 필요합니다. 그 틀을 갖추기는 오랜 습관과 훈련이 필요합니다. 잘못된 기본을 바꾸는 것은 뼈를 깎는 아픔도 있습니다. 이 번 한해 잘못된 기본을 바로잡고 하나님이 가장 기뻐하시는 기본으로 돌아가는 복된 한 해가 되기를 간절히 기도하며 이 기본이 교회는 물론 가정에도 회복되기를 간절히

기도합니다.

The Victory or Defeat of Faith Lies

in the Basics

The world is becoming increasingly flashy and decorative.There is much packaging and outward beauty, yet little substance.

The church can be the same.Beautiful sanctuaries, impressive programs, and large congregations—and yet, we must ask whether we have lost what is most essential.

What, then, are the basics of faith for believers?

First, our relationship with God.

Faith is ultimately determined by relationship.The foundation of our relationship with God is the Word and prayer. In a world overflowing with information, true wisdom comes from God’s Word. The world constantly drives us into busyness, but what we need is stillness. Within stillness, there is creation and restoration.

Prayer teaches us how to enter that stillness within our relationship with God.

Second, the salvation of souls.

The early church never stopped evangelizing. The most natural evidence of a saved soul is the desire to testify about one’s Savior. Evangelism is not a program, nor is it something forced upon us. It is the natural result of life within us.

As we enter this new year, may it be a year in which we commit ourselves to evangelism— a year in which we pray for souls and obey God’s calling. The basics require a framework. Building that framework takes time, discipline, and long-term habits. Correcting faulty foundations can be painful, sometimes feeling like cutting to the bone.

This year, may we realign what has been distorted, and return to the fundamentals that please God most. We earnestly pray that these godly foundations will be restored not only in the church, but also in our homes.
